Morning Blooms at the Ranch

White magnolia bloom at Two Boots Ranch on a cool spring morning

The back door swung open this morning and Bella padded in, paws still carrying the chill from the grass outside. She stopped mid-stride, looking back out toward the yard, and I followed her gaze.

There she was—the first white magnolia bloom of spring, opening up bright against the grey sky, stubborn and beautiful all at once. Didn’t matter that the clouds were hanging low or that the morning still had a bite to it. That old tree decided it was her time, and she showed up.

Norbi caught her with his camera before the rest of us even had our coffee. Some miracles on this ranch are big and loud. Others are quiet, white, and blooming before you're ready.

Spring doesn't wait for perfect weather—she just arrives.
